Why Is Kara Swisher On CNN Talking About Twitter And Acting Like She's The Expert When She's Not? Ok, my issue with Kara Swisher being on CNN's special about Twitter is that 15 years ago, when I was a blogger both for my Zennie62 Blogger platforms and a vlogger using primarily YouTube, and also a City Brights Blogger on SFGate.com , I saw an article in the Wall Street Journal by Kara about Twitter. In it, Kara Swisher claimed that Twitter was Inane and Simple, a view which I disagreed with and still disagree with today. There are a large number of rules and procedures that one must follow in order to really advance their message. There are techniques that folks have developed with the same objective. I can go on and on, but it's not simple, Twitter. So I wrote a rebuttal to Kara via my City Brights Blog and made a vlog here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LNhY7d5SiU Would you believe Kara not only attacked me for disagreeing with her but said that she did not call Twitter "Inane and Simple" when those words were right there on her own article! Then she contacted then-SFGate Executive Director Kevin Skaggs and tried to get my entire post removed as well as me. So, after that, I was not liking her at all, and believed she was just one of those racists who could not stand that a black guy was in tech media. But you got to admit it: the girl works her unwarranted hubris. One of us actually tired to build a Twitter-killer called Telen.Me (like "You're telling me"). But I could not get traction for it. And tech investor and friend Michael Downing showed great interest in it, but also noted the lack of traction. It's all a little too fast and to, well, perfect. There's something curious about this whole set of events. Knowing President Trump as we do, it has to be related to a donation, and a giant one, by Tiger Woods to Trump's campaign for President. That seemed to buy Tiger Woods access. But what does Trump get other than Tiger's money? The POTUS gets to play golf with the World's Greatest Golfer. But in fairness, Trump's done that for some time, both as POTUS and as a private citizen. And Trump's Trump Company has partnered with Tiger Woods' design firm, TGR Design and and DAMAC Properties to design and develop the Trump World Golf Club Dubai, a 18-hole championship course within the AKOYA Oxygen community in Dubai. But now that Trump is POTUS again, where does he go with these galf business relationships? Apparently to seek new golf deals. A deal between the PGA Tour and the Saudi-funded LIV league would directly benefit the US president’s family business says Mohamad Bazzi in The Guardian UK. Mohamad Bazzi reports that "The US president found time to try to broker an agreement between two rival golf tournaments, the US-based PGA Tour and the LIV Golf league, funded by Saudi Arabia. If concluded, the deal would directly benefit Trump’s family business, which owns and manages golf courses around the world. And that helps his business relationship with Tiger Woods. The March poll, conducted March 17-18 among 854 likely voters, shows Barbara Lee at 45%, and Taylor at 41% in first place votes, which puts the race within the margin of error of ±3.35%. Currently, 14% of voters are either Undecided (9%), or voting Someone Else (5%). In January, Lee held 56% and Taylor held 23% of the vote due to her long-standing presence in Oakland politics and near-universal name recognition. In February, Lee's support dropped, with Barbara Lee leading Loren Taylor 46% -25% in the initial survey. The current March poll shows that Taylor gained 16 points moving from 25% of first choice votes in February to 41% of first choice votes in this week's survey.
