Well, here we go again, America. AMPAS, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, managed to add zero new black actors or producers, and drop Whoopi Goldberg, and after an Academy Awards that saw no actor of African descent nominated for leading roles. Seems "Oscars (Still) So White" is extending to the new Board of Governors additions. On top of that, among the 20 acting nominees, Angela Bassett was the only Black woman nominated, for her supporting role in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” but she lost to Jamie Lee Curtis. And Danielle Deadwyler of Till did not see the Best Actress finalist list and then-Academy Board member Whoopi Goldberg voiced her disappointment over the outcome. Now, she is not a board member.
