In Winston's first pass against the Denver Broncos, the play design was such that two receiver were very close together - in man-for-man coverage this drew three defenders. Winston seemed to be instructed to throw to the second receiver - he tried to but missed. The play design didn't seem to have a progression or a hot read: that is the fault of the head coach, not the quarterback. Dirk Koetter has to admit that.
