Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC Is Ronnie Lott; Alameda County In Coliseum City Land Sale Talks

Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC Is Ronnie Lott; Alameda County In Coliseum City Land Sale Talks
“Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC” Is Ronnie Lott; Alameda County In Coliseum City Land Sale Talks Anyone who tells you “nothing's going on” with respect to negotiations related to what will be a new stadium for the Oakland Raiders is either lying to you or really knows nothing at all, but is just talking to look important and is an Oakland hater. Thanks to several friends I can say there was a little-seen document that appeared in the agenda for the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on July 6th, and County Administrator Susan Muranishi “approved and authorized” Aki Nakao and Pat O'Connell to negotiate a land purchase deal with an organization called “Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC”. Then, on July 12th, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors were treated to an update on the progress of the talks in closed session. That part of the County's' agenda reads as follows: - Property: O.Co Stadium and Arena, Oakland (Assessor Parcel Nos. 041-3901- 009, 041-3901-008 and 042-4328-001 - Agency Negotiators: Aki Nakao and Pat O'Connell, Real Property Negotiators - Negotiating Parties: Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC a California Limited Liability Company Under Negotiation: Price and Terms of Payment I don't yet know the details, but I do know this is coming to the Oakland City Council on Tuesday of next week. What we can infer from this information, however, is really quite a lot. First, the talks between who is The Ronnie Lott Group, but is now legally called Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC, and the City of Oakland and Alameda County, and the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, became real weeks ago, as opposed to just heating up this week. Whenever a legal entity name is presented in a County Agenda, from experience, I can say the people involved have instructed the potential buyers to start setting up a corporate veil – in this case, an LLC. This is exactly the same preliminary process Floyd Kephart and New City Development LLC went through three years ago, but coming out with an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement. In this case, expect to see Oakland City Pro Football Group, LLC with a Memorandum of Understanding signed very soon. Second, Oakland Raiders Owner Mark Davis and Team President Mark Badain are keenly aware of what's happening in Oakland, even as Mr. Davis tells his media friends that Oakland's doing nothing, and the Mayor of Las Vegas believes him. Third, the County is getting to a place where it has some understanding of what the appraised land Coliseum City value is. Remember, the City of Oakland approved Keiser-Marston & Associates to start work on land appraisal for Coliseum City two weeks ago; Alameda County's actions over this month are in concert with the City of Oakland's. That, in itself, completely smashes Mark Davis's claims that Oakland has political problems – a fairy tale that the Sheldon Adelson-owned Las Vegas Review repeated last week, and just as it was mentioning that Ronnie Lott was “minority” for what seems to me to be an act of dog-whistle racism on the part of that publication. In other words, Lott's black, so he won't get it done. From what you and I have seen, you'd have to be mentally ill to think Lott's not going to make this work. That he will get something done and retain the Raiders in Oakland is about as certain as one of his big hits as an NFL safety. Stay tuned.
