Steve Kerr, Warriors Haunted By Mark Jackson In NBA Finals - Video
Steve Kerr, Warriors Haunted By Mark Jackson In NBA Finals Right now, Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors are down 2-1 to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. And while Klay Thompson compared the deficit to their position against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference Finals, in reality it's much different. So much so that people on Twitter started making fun of Kerr. The bottom line: he can't motivate his team. So now, Steve Kerr has to hear that he can't get his team going at the time it matters most. And more to the point, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said that Mark Jackson would have done a better job of getting the team to play. The same Mark Jackson who was head coach last season. The same Mark Jackson who got the Warriors to two straight playoffs. The same Mark Jackson who Warriors Owner Joe Lacob fired and then insulted on several occasions after he was released by the team. The overall look was one of intense institutional racism (especially when Lacob said that Jackson didn't know basketball strategy) and eventually Joe appologized, but only after some heat. Now, the same Mark Jackson's back on the sidelines and calling the game for ABC. In short, Mark Jackson is haunting the Golden State Warriors just by his presence. Steve Kerr has no choice but to direct his team to an NBA Finals win, or he and Lacob will hear the comparisons with Jackson that will come – and fast.
