47 GOP Senators Broke Law With Iran Letter - Video
47 GOP Senators Broke Law With Iran Letter The 47 GOP Senators who wrote the letter defying President Obama's work in trying to secure a nuclear deal with Iran have broke the law in the process. The 1799 Logan Act says this: "“Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”" And that is what the 47 GOP Senators have done, and violated The Logan Act. The President is the Comander-In-Chief, and is supposed to be able to act in such a way without this kind of interruption. The 47 GOP Senators should apologize to President Obama.
