Sweet July Cafe At 455 23rd Street Oakland Focus Of Email Marketing Scam By Restaurantji.com
Sweet July Cafe At 455 23rd Street Oakland Focus Of Email Marketing Scam By Restaurantji.com A person named Linda Alvardo reached out to me presenting herself as concerned that an OaklandNewsNow.com post about Ayesha Curry’s Sweet July Cafe at 455 23rd Street in Downtown Oakland and across from Oakland City Hall did not have a website link. Suspicious, I searched her name and email address and saw a post reporting a similar request by the same name. Moreover I cannot find a search result confirming the existence of that person as connected with Curry. But the post reports that person as doing the same trick in Florida and called out for it. The website Restaurantji.com is just an affiliate marketing site with links to Doordash. Just shows how bad the economy really is such that some people have to resort to hidden-ball-trick online marketing. Stay tuned. Oh. And visit SweetJuly.com

Oakland A's Begin Stadium Design Process in Las Vegas
The story continues with the possibility of the Oakland A's leaving California to become the Las Vegas A's. Athletics President David Kaval was here on his fourth visit to the area with a designer and architect to look at potential stadium sites for the MLB team. Las Vegas had no professional sports teams several years ago, but is now looking to add it's fourth. Las Vegas already has an NHL, NFL and WNBA team. On Howard Terminal Ballpark And TIF Revenue vs Impact Fees For Affordable Housing On Friday, I wrote "Howard Terminal Ballpark: Tell Mayor Schaaf TIF’s Better Than Impact Fees For Affordable Housing", which aimed to explain why tax increment financing revenue was better to finance the development of affordable housing than Impact Fees, which were originally used in the San Francisco example to steer development toward South of Market and away from The Financial District. Here, I explain that Oakland News Now post for my video-blog audience, and answer questions posted by The first post on the Howard Terminal Ballpark Project Oakland TIF Revenue vs. Impact Fees for affordable housing problem produced a series of questions from Oakland-based accountant Len Raphael on Facebook. Soulbeat Week In Oakland And Worldwide Celebrate Soulbeat July 30th Oakland City Hall #Soulbeat Day
Soulbeat Week In Oakland And Worldwide Celebrate Soulbeat July 30th Oakland City Hall #Soulbeat Day Soulbeat, the entertainment television station that was the go-to for Oaklanders to find out what was happening in our town during the 1990s, is celebrated this week, culminating with a special event at Oakland City Hall July 30th, 2021. As the Soulbeat website explains, Soul Beat, was the first Black owned cable TV network and was on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from 1978 to 2003. Soul Beat was on cable channel 37 and catered unapologetically to its city’s African American population, and provided the first television exposure for many local R&B and rap artists.] Many Oaklanders appeared on Soulbeat, including me. I talked about economic development problems in Oakland as a guest back in 1989. But Soulbeat was known primarily for music and was the place to go to learn who was who in the then-emerging rap culture we now call Hip Hop. So, if you see Chuck Johnson somewhere in Oakland, give him a high-five. Stay tuned.
