Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis In NYC For NFL Stadium Presentations
Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis In NYC For NFL Stadium Presentations
Oakland, San Diego, and St. Louis NFL Stadium Presentation Teams will be at NFL Headquarters tomorrow, Veterans Day, to make the case that each city has a stadium plan to keep their teams and not lose them to Los Angeles. The meetings will go from 12 noon to 6 PM and each team gets 45 min, including a Q and A from the 17 expected members of the NFL Ownership. The presentation groups are as different as the politics and time related to each city's effort. For Oakland, the presentation team consists of Mayor Libby Schaaf, Oakland Councilmember Larry Reid (District 7), and Larry Gallegoes from the City of Oakland's economic development team, as well as other staffers and consultants. This is Oakland's first time before about half of the NFL Owners, let alone any group of them. The City (and the East Bay Entities) have to show it has a stadium plan, as many in the NFL don't believe it does. Mayor Schaaf's message to the media has changed from one that was focused on selling the region, to one that says Oakland can build a stadium. That's a good start. San Diego will be represented by Mayor Kevin Faulconer, San Diego County Supervisor Rob Roberts, and Stadium Negotiator Chris Melvin. San Diego has a stadium plan and has made great progress this year. It also has a stadium task force that was formed by the Mayor. Where questions lay is in the environmental impact report and whether it will survive a court challenge. Of all stadium proposals, including the one's in Carson and in Inglewood, St. Louis' is the one that's the most real and ready to go. The St. Louis' presentation team will consists of its stadium task force head David Peacock and his number two Bill Blitz, as well as stadium task force representatives and consultants. St. Louis has not just a plan, but a naming rights agreement, just hired \a construction manager, and a cool video to get folks excited. I'll be on hand to talk to the presentation teams and NFL point man Eric Grubman. Follow me on Twitter @zennie62

The overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles had Dallas typically undisciplined approach. Perhaps one day they will figure it out. Meanwhile the Eagles have won four of their last six games.

SF 49ers 17, ATL Falcons 16: Blaine Gabbert Wins!
SF 49ers 17, ATL Falcons 16: Blaine Gabbert Wins! Blaine Gabbert, the 10th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars, was with the wrong coach and wrong system for his first three years in the NFL. Now with the San Francisco 49ers and mature expectations, Gabbert was finally placed in a system that emphasizes what he does well. That and timely 49ers defensive schemes got a close win. The Atlanta Falcons have lost their way schematically after ripping off five wins out of the gate. They forgot about their running game and forgot how to move the pocket and distribute the football with the passing game. They lost.

NY Giants 32, Tampa Bay Bucs 18: Winston Good But Team Errors Costly Once again the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a game they should have won - this time to the New York Giants 32 to 18. Winston was 16 of 36 for 241 no TDs but no INTs either. The Bucs have a problem borne of poor red zone offensive design. It would help to hold on to the football too. Fumbles by Chris Sims and Mike Evans helped put New York in position to win.
