Dirk Cotter Very Concerned About Jameis Winston But Fault Is NFL Head Coach Dirk Cotter, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach, says he is concerned about Jameis Winston, but, as this vlog shows, the fault is with his coaching and play design. In Winston's first pass against the Denver Broncos, the play design was such that two receiver were very close together - in man-for-man coverage this drew three defenders. Winston seemed to be instructed to throw to the second receiver - he tried to but missed. The play design didn't seem to have a progression or a hot read: that is the fault of the head coach, not the quarterback. Dirk Koetter has to admit that.
