Phillip Mushnick, NY Post's Racist, Troubled Columnist Blasts Raiders Head Coach Antonio Pierce - ATLNews
The New York Post is harboring a sad, troubled, and racist man they call a columnist and his name is Phillip Mushnick, AKA Phil Mushnick. On Saturday, Phil Mushnick wrote a column entitled “Antonio Pierce’s promotion to Raiders head coach an embarrassment for NFL”, and that was a cherry-picking of stupid young acts Piece, who's 45, did when he was below 30. It was clear Phillip Mushnick was just writing crap to make new Raiders Head Coach Pierce look bad, but why? Well, because Phillip Mushnick doesn't like that Pierce is a black man getting a chance to run an iconic NFL organization, that's why. But, before you say that this author is out of line for calling Phil Mushnick “racist”, don't blame this messenger because the tag comes from another New York publication called NY SF Magazine, and it's NY SF Blog. The title of its whole April 14, 2019 article calls the man racist: “Racist Phil Mushnick of the New York Post Is At It Again” That's about as direct as it gets. But Phil doesn't stop there with publications calling him racist. In 2012 Hip Hop DX wrote an article called “NY Post Columnist Makes Racist Remarks Towards Jay-Z & Brooklyn Nets”, and referring directly to Phil Mushnick. New York U.S. Rep. Yvette D. Clarke called Phil Mushnick “racist” for his Jay-Z writing of 12 years ago and which this space will not give the light of day to for the use of a racial slur. HoopsHype wrote that Phil Mushnick was a moron, viewing that as a step below being racist (this space disagrees). On Reddit, Phil was accused of being racist in a post called “Wow Phil Mushnick with some old school rub it in your face racism”. Phil has been called a racist by The Observer, NetsDaily, The Guardian, Deadspin, Awful Announcing, the New York Magazine called Mushnick “full racist”. And on Twitter, Peter Rosenberg wrote: Phil Mushnick has been writing racist vitriol for YEARS ...constantly defending racism, attacking notable black celebrities, using false equivalency and poisoning people's minds. I know it's the @nypost but how on earth is he still writing this stuff?! Yet, with all of this, Phil Mushnick has had the nerve to say he's not racist. Well, the definition of “racist” is “characterized by or showing prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized."we are investigating complaints about racist abuse". And with all of that, the majority of Americans in media think Phi's racist. So, this space will chime in and add to the chorus, but ask the simple question: why doensn't the New York Post fire him? He's breaking the law with his behavior and should be locked up. Moreover, so should the New York Post editors greenlighting his work. After all, racism is a hate crime. In the state of Oregon, a case could be made for the jailing of people who write what Phil does in the New York Post. The Department of Justice of the State of Oregon writes the following: A hate crime, known as Bias Crime under Oregon law, is a crime motivated in part or whole by bias against another person’s race, color, disability, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity. There are federal, state, and tribal hate and bias crime laws, each defined separately under individual state’s laws, federal law, and individual tribe’s laws. Oregon’s bias crime was modified in 2019’s SB 577 », and is codified under ORS 166.155 and 166.165 ». As of January 1, 2022, Intimidation By Display of a Noose is also a crime in Oregon, codified under ORS 163.191. Examples of Hate and Bias Crimes Bias crimes can also be verbal, physical, or visual. Some examples include: Assaulting, injuring, or even touching someone in an offensive manner because of their perceived protected class. Creating racist or derogatory graffiti on someone else’s property based on their perceived protected class. Threatening to physically harm a person, their family, or their property based on their perceived protected class. In the Media, racist language is also pointed to a a hate crime, so why doesn't anyone think to go an do a citizen's arrest on Phil Mushnick? Just asking. He's committing verbal abuse on black subjects with the idea that they're public figures – well, he's a public figure too. People should know about his racist ways and then ask him to stop. This author is not concerned about Phil Mushnick's reasons or background, or anything other than he be made to stop his abusive, evil, behavior, as soon as possible. Oh, and apologize to Raiders Head Coach Antonio Pierce.
