Oscars 2016 Doc Short List Has "Amy", "The Hunting Ground"
Oscars 2016 Doc Short List Has "Amy", "The Hunting Ground" The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences has released the short list of 15 documentaries competing to be Best Documentary at the 2016 Academy Awards. The list will be paired down to five in January. I must say I strongly object to "The Hunting Ground" being on this list. It's a false smear job on Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston. "Amy", the powerful documentary about the late Amy Winehouse, is the front runner. Other awesome films are "3 1/2 Minutes, 10 Bullets" and "Cartel Land" as well as "Winter On Fire" (which I mistakenly referred to as "Writer On Fire" but note the error).
