This is the prediction of famed Oakland, California criminal defense attorney John Burris. Mr. Burris, who also represented Oscar Grant's family in a lawsuit against BART Police, and played a major role in the making of the movie Fruitvale Station, knows a thing or two about such cases, as one who regularly sues for police brutality. Mr. Burris says that the prosecution's strategy and witnesses are backfiring on them, thus the reason for his prediction. The man who regularly appears on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and HLN, also says that the defense handling of Rachel Jeantel was racist. The Turkish protestor-produced campaign called #StopLyingCNN has been successful in that it made the hashtag #StopLyingCNN a Twitter Trend, but as this blogger wrote before, there's been a problem. The problem has been that it's so insular and in Turkish, that, to this point in time, no American news website or blog has written about it, until now. The update is based on comments and explains that the #StopLyingCNN was started by pro-government protestors who think CNN and the BBC have made the whole deal look bigger than they say it is. Comments: Hi Zennie, The campaign was started by Melih Gökçek, a pro-government mayor in Turkey, to condemn coverage of CNN International on "anti-government" protests in Turkey. He and his supporters believe that the protests was exaggerated by CNN, which is not true by the way. Turkish protesters demanded more freedom and resignation of the cabinet. However, those who support that hashtag support the government. Therefore they condemn CNN. Hi Zennie The #stoplyingCNN hashtag was created as a response to foreign media disinformation during the recent protests in Turkey. These media organs such as CNN and BBC gave misleading information to their followers. The critics were highly biased and far from being objective. They tried to create an image that there is a war going on in Turkey although it was just a few thousand people protesting in local parts of the 80 million Turkey. For some reason they tried to destroy the positive view about Turkey which was created in the last 10 years. Turkish people got upset of this and wanted to give a democratic response. CNN broadcasted about 8 hours non-stop from Istanbul while they even do not broadcast 8 min from Syria or Gaza in which hundreds of people are dying every day. I hope you have an idea now. Best... Edward Snowden NSA Whistleblower From Hong Kong To Moscow To Ecuador Pissing Off US
Edward Snowden, the NSA Whistleblower who introduced the World to the name PRISM, is, as of this writing in Moscow, and ether still in the airport, or at the Ecuador Embassy. Sunday marked a wild day for him and for the media. It started with Edward Snowden being given the right to leave Hong Kong and with the assistance of WikiLeaks members. He was flown to Moscow, where it was thought he was headed next to Iceland, but then plans changed and he asked for asylum in Ecuador. He was reportedly last visited by Ecuador's Ambassador, who's BMW parked at the airport was photographed more times than at an auto show. Ecuador says they're "analyzing" the situation. One issue is that the extradition treaty between the U.S. and Ecuador covers the crime of espionage. Stay tuned.

It's all about John Hamm as Don Draper, and this performance just might land him The Emmy. Don Draper's battle with alcoholism leads to the shakes and to an eventual breakdown of sorts in a meeting with Hersey's representatives. In that meeting, Don, who was going to move to California after spending the night in jail sobering up after hitting a minister, decided not to move. But the decision to stay was countered by his own partners trying to push him out of Sterling Cooper & Partners, saying that he was on leave "indefinitely." Don visits his old home where he grew up, and is run-down and in a neighborhood that went from middle-class white to low-income black during the late 1960s.

The Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs 95 to 88 at American Airlines Arena, and as I write this, Tim Duncan has just took the podium at the post-game press conference, and looks like a man who has lost everything. Both teams played their hearts out, and it was a series of amazing basketball to watch, even for the causal fan. It seems that everyone was into this game, and the overall Twitter reaction showed it. By game's end, seven of the ten top Twitter Trends were related to NBA Finals Game Seven. Le Bron James Was The Difference Le Bron James scored 23 points from beyond 10 feet, and was 9 of 19 at one point. And for the series, basically for the first five games, he wasn't, well, LeBron until the 4th quarter of Game 6. Then, in Game 7, he was LeBron. He finished with 37 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. And give a big hand to the very upset Tim Duncan, who finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and four steals, and one block - and at 37 years old. Beyond James play, we have to give a shout out to LeBron James the man, who now will go down in history for saying to ESPN's Doris Burke, and the nation "I cant worry about what everyone says about me. I'm LeBron James, I'm blessed, I ain't got no worries." Many Other Storylines There were so many other storylines, but let's pick the biggest ones: LeBron James and Dwayne Wade - Le Bron was 12 of 24 from the field, and Wade was 11 of 21 from the field - the best of any player for either team. Shane Battier's clutch three pointer, and his 18-points, to put The Heat head with the clock winding down. Chris Bosh' block on Tim Duncan. Chris "Birdman" Anderson's block on Duncan And Mario Chalmers massive three pointer, causing Dwayne Wade to say later, "He never makes a three, but he was clutch." A massive game. A massive series. According to TMZ.com, Mr. Gandolfini, was there in Italy for he 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, and was to meet Italian director Gabriele Muccino for a festival event on the weekend. Gandolfini was best known for his role as Tony Soprano, but got noticed as a mobster in the 1993 movie "True Romance." He was 51 years old. This is totally shocking. The Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs 103 to 100 in OT of Game 6 of The NBA Finals. It was an epic contest in Miami and made closer than it should have been, by the fact that Le Bron James, the NBA MVP did not play his best game. It wasn't the Spurs Defense but King James himself, seemingly always looking for the fowl or afraid to just go up and dunk the basketball in the collective face of the opponent. And it's not like Le Bron can't do it; he can and has done it before. Did Ray Allen Foul Manu Ginobili? Some say that a play where Spurs star Manu Ginobili was headed for the basket but was defended by Heat shooter Ray Allen was the difference because Allen wasn't called for a foul. If you look at the play in the video, Manu Ginobili was clearly running with the basketball in his arms, and not dribbling it. In other words, he should have been called for a "walk" and the ball turned-over to The Heat. In any case, The Heat did get the ball back. The game ended in Overtime with a great Chris Bosh block of a Danny Green three-point attempt that would have forced a second OT had it went in. It did not. The NBA Finals Game 7 is Thursday. Mr. Gleason is a retired NFL New Orleans Saints safety who was diagnosed with ALS disease in 2011, the same year he became a father for the first time. Since that announcement, Gleason’s condition has worsened to the point where he can’t talk and has to eat with a straw.
For reasons that Mayhem In The AM‘s main host Nick Cellini called a “stupid attempt at humor” on his Twitter account, he and Steak Shapiro worked out a format where Shapiro asked questions while Cellini made a voice that was supposed to sound like Steve Gleason talking through a computer voice synthesizer. Chris Dimino was in the studio, but wasn’t one of the people who actually did the interview.

Man Of Steel Review: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, In Great Epic
Man Of Steel is a great movie. While not quite as good as Iron Man 3 or Star Trek: Into Darkness, there should be a photo of Henry Cavill’s version of Superman right next to the word “epic” in the dictionary.
Man Of Steel was that big a film.
What stops MOS from being in a place where it is as excellent a work of film to match its bigness, is in the design of the story. The use of flashbacks did not serve Man Of Steel well. While they did help move the story along, the flashbacks helped it along too well.
In an origin story, especially one where the writers and producers and director were making so many changes to the characters, having a few linear moments of levity during his young years would have been perfect.
And while I liked Hans Zimmer’s music, it wasn’t on the level of John Williams. You need an epic movie soundtrack to go with an epic film, and Mr. Zimmer didn’t bring that – John Williams’ “March Of Superman” is still the gold standard, and it’s role as the thrown-holder here has not been touched.
As for the actors, Henry Cavill has nailed the Superman / Clark Kent character, and is at his best in his scenes with Diane Lane and Kevin Costner, who plays his mother, Martha Kent and dad Johnathan Kent, respectively. Amy Adams’ Lois Lane needed more to do in terms of meat, and while she was good, there were one too many times where she seems reduced to needing Superman’s help.
Michael Shannon’s ‘General Zod’ was the best ever, and Mr. Shannon is arguably the best actor in the movie, and one of the best bad guys in film history, and combined with how well Lawrence Fishburn played Perry White, was the reason Man Of Steel is a top-knotch film.

The New Parkway Oakland Theater Video Tour | Queen of Outer Space
The New Parkway Oakland at 474 24th Avenue in the Uptown District, is something to see. It's kind of tucked way in a warehouse that's much larger than it looks, and is just around the corner from a corner cafe on Broadway and 24th that has been several different businesses over the years. The hosts for our video tour were Randy and Karen, who are the managers and operators and caretakers of The Parkway Oakland Theater for its owners - a group of 87 investors who gathered together and put blood, sweat, and tears into the renovation of a space that was once used by the Occupy Oakland Movement. Now, it picks up on the spirit of the original Parkway Oakland Theater, where you can lounge on big, overstuffed couches and eat great pizza or drink gourmet beer and wine - or just watch a movie. And it's in the movies where The Parkway gained its fame. When I visited, Randy and Karen were working out the color for the screening of "Queen of Outer Space," the 1958 sci-fi movie starring Zsa Zsa Gabor, Eric Fleming, and Laurie Mitchell. It's slated to be shown this weekend, starting Sunday. It will be presented by the QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE with guest host Queen's Slumber Party from Thrillville. For those who remember the first Parkway Theater on 18th St near Park and Lake Merritt, you recall Will Vaharo and his "Thrillville" - a time where a vintage film, or.. Well, let Will describe it: "For many years, Will "the Thrill" and his wife Monica "Tiki Goddess" Cortes hosted a live cult movie cabaret called "Thrillville" featuring classic drive-in/grindhouse cinema and live burlesque acts, which still influence his work. " And the good news is that "Thrillville" is still going strong at The New Parkway. So, come and visit this great place hidden in the middle of Uptown Oakland. Help keep the sprit of The Parkway Oakland Alive. When I questioned Phil Simms, the former NY Giants QB on the NFL Retired Players Settlement Issue at the 2013 NFL Draft Red Carpet, where a court awarded a $42 million judgement, instead of giving an answer in support of his fellow athletes, he decided to be a jerk and say "I don't know." If you look at him, he'd already decided to be rude to me before he opened his mouth. It's too bad he could not say something nice.
