Oakland Coliseum City Reboot Plan Update 6-7-2015 #ColiseumReboot

Oakland Coliseum City Reboot Plan Update 6-7-2015 #ColiseumReboot - Video

Oakland Coliseum City Reboot Plan Update June 6th 2015 Full Post: http://ift.tt/1HV1gak I’m going to start this latest presentation off with something that will set the tone for how I think Coliseum City should be approached from this point on: the East Side of the Oakland Coliseum City stadium must be retained and upgraded as part of a new stadium for the Oakland Raiders. The reason is simple: anything that calls for a totally new stadium is something a 40-year lease revenue bond can barely handle. In other words, the risk of bond default is too great to ignore. I’m not comfortable issuing a Raiders Stadium plan that has a razor-thin margin – one with a brand new stadium has just that. Before I introduce the plan, let me explain even further: it’s not that a 40-year lease revenue bond of any kind can’t handle a new stadium, but given the revenue production over that period of time, and the balance between the cost of adding new land uses within the Oakland Coliseum boundaries, and the resulting revenue, it becomes increasingly difficult to do. The Basic Plan For The Oakland Coliseum City Reboot As a reminder, Oakland Raiders Owner Mark Davis invited me to submit a stadium plan while at the NFL Spring Meeting in San Francisco, and in witness by NFL Network Anchor and my long time friend Mike Silver. Madame Tussauds Announces First Transgender Figure in the History of Madame Tussauds in Honor of Pride Month Madame Tussauds San Francisco is proud to announce Laverne Cox as the first transgender figure in the museum’s history SAN FRANCISCO, CA, JUNE 8, 2015 – Madame Tussauds announced Laverne Cox will join Madame Tussauds San Francisco in Fisherman’s Wharf as the first ever transgender figure in the long history of Madame Tussauds to celebrate Pride Month. Madame Tussauds has a rich history of being on the forefront of the latest news and global activities. Her legacy began as a “traveling newsstand”, a reliable source that visually depicted the relevant news of the day. Now as a museum, Madame Tussauds strives to revitalize these early roots through showcasing the significant and revolutionary figures in our world today. Emmy-nominated actress and Emmy winning producer, Laverne Cox, is known for her groundbreaking role as the first Trans woman of color on the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black, and her advocacy in the LGBT community. As a result of her empowering messages, Ms. Cox has the Stephen F. Kolzak Award from GLAAD, the Courage Award from the Anti-Violence Project, The Community Leader Award from the LGBT Center of New York City, the Reader’s Choice Award from “Out Magazine”, was named one of the Grio’s 100 Most Influential African Americans and one of the Top 50 Trans Icons by the Huffington Post, among others. Additionally, Ms. Cox’s work as an actress and advocate landed her on the cover of TIME Magazine as well as an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series”. “I am so deeply honored to have been asked to be part of the Madame Tussauds legacy,” says Ms. Cox. “When I think about being who I am, a black trans woman from a working class background raised in Mobile, Alabama, this honor feels even more improbable and extraordinary. I hope that this will be a source of inspiration for every one who encounters it to believe that their dreams matter and are possible.” Madame Tussauds is honored to celebrate Ms. Cox’s outstanding achievements and the historic impact she has made through raising awareness and her stance on equality and inclusion within the LGBT community. Ms. Cox’s figure will be released during Pride Weekend at the SF Pride press conference on June 26, 2015.

Was Teresa Obert Paid By ESPN For Hope Solo Interview?

Was Teresa Obert Paid By ESPN For Hope Solo Interview? - Video

Did ESPN Pay Teresa Obert Hope Solo's Half Sister For Domestic Violence Interview? ESPN's Mark Fainaru-Wada did a really good job of laying out the story of the fight between Hope Solo and her half sister Teresa Obert - and which led to domestic violence charges filed against Solo - from Ms Obert's point of view. It was painful to watch and to listen to because it reveals a family that has a toxic relationship. But two questions came to my mind: first, did anyone at or associated with ESPN pay Teresa Obert to give the interview? Second, how did ESPN come to get the interview? Up to 2011 ABC, which owns ESPN, did pay licensing fees for interviews. This was stopped in 2011, when ABC News President Ben Sherwood put the stop to that. But Sherwood is gone as of last year. So the question remains: did ESPN or anyone or group associated with it pay Teresa Obert to be interviewed? It's common practice to do that. MSNBC paid me for being interviewed by Caught On Camera in 2011. What about this case?
