Late Show with Stephen Colbert is my favorite talk show but it is suffering from poor ratings since its hit debut. The problem is not political or anything to do with his political views. It's simple: he does not land a lot of head- turning guests. Plus his social media effort is terrible. Colbert needs to get star guests who have large Twitter followers and get them to help promote the show. How about getting folks like Nicki Minaj or Amanda Bynes? More often than not, his guests are no one I have ever heard of before! Just saying.

Warriors are not undefeated any more. The Golden State Warriors are now 24 and 1, having lost to the Milwaukee Bucks. Ok. So what, the Dubs are still better than your NBA team by a mile - it's just one loss. That record of 28 straight wins is still amazing no matter how you look at it. Stay tuned.

Derrick Henry, at 6-3 242 lbs, will be a force in the NFL. So will Christian McCaffrey, who is a do-all force that catches, runs, and throws. Watch out!

That Chest Pain I Had Wasn't A Heart Attack, But Made Me Think
Last night I had what was a massive chest pain and I was so scared I thought it was a heart attack - thankfully it was not. It was due to gas but it made me think about a lot of things. I thought about how cool it was to have folks in my life I knew for a long time. I thought about how I am here with my Mom most of the time and to keep her company as she is elderly, but it's also great because I am with someone who knows me. I can't explain how important family is, expect ally for black men. You need a base of people who know and love you as a counter to the really racist bad people out there. One day I all have a great wife but I can say I am not divorced from a bad one. This life is about knowing the difference between who you want to be your friend and who your friends are. Know that. A lot of people don't. That is all.
